Memorial Day Weekend and Velcro Wallets

On Memorial Day Weekend Bryan's folks came down for a visit. They just got a new RV and were dying to stay at CIRCLEP to try it out. It's niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice! Of course Sean enjoyed his Grandparents and the never-ending attention. He's such a ham. I love to see his personality expand when he's exposed to other people and new things. We had a great time with them and can't wait to get together this fall to do some camping!

Let's go camping!!

This week (per our usual routine) we went to the library. This time Sean picked out 5 books too. Ok, mommy picked them out for Sean. Can he get his library card soon? If so we'll have to get him a miniature velcro wallet. Here's a picture of him doing some light reading of his own.

This past weekend Sean crossed a major milestone. He rolled over!! Bryan and I just happened to be standing in the back bedroom where Sean was sprawled out on the bed playing. Just as we both caught his eye he turned - front to back. Viola! Mommy and Daddy started acting like idiots praising him. He didn't bat an eye and basically had a look on his face that said "Yeah, so??!!?" I have a sneaking suspicion that he's been practicing in his crib at night.

Before I go, here's an update on Little Man's big boy food:

Rice-yum
Sweet Potatoes- yum
Sweet Peas-yum
Green Beans-yum
Carrots-yum
Squash-yum

So far for him food=yum. He's more like his daddy than we thought. He doesn't seem to have any issues with anything he's offered. We're going to start exploring fruits in a week or two. Not to brag (but I will) he already thinks he should feed himself. We usually practice at each meal just for kicks. He thinks it's so funny.

We have that Elmo book and Madison loves it! It's also great for car rides because it gives her something to do. I don't remember any interactive books when we were kids...are these a new invention or something??
