6 Month Check-Up

Today was little man's half birthday AND his visit to the doctor :(

He weighs 16lbs, 15oz - which keeps him right at the 50th percentile, approx 27 inches (again at the 50th percentile) and most important has a large head (75th percentile). Dr. K also commented on my large head and told me that sometimes large heads run in the family. Hmph. I proceeded to tell him that Sean's head looks identical to the shape of his Uncle Mikie's- which is true! We hope he'll be as smart too!

Besides a large head, it's fairly flat. I brought this up to the doctor and we decided it's something we'll watch over the next few months. By 9 months it should be rounding out nicely.

The rest of the appointment went as planned (they stuck my poor baby with those gigantic needles). Before the nurse who administers the shots had even entered the room Sean began screaming at the top of his lungs. He wasn't going to take it lying down this time around! This evening he was pretty sore and slept quite a bit, but by the time he was ready for bed his smiling face had returned.
