My last day at Aspect was last Tuesday.
For those of you who didn't know I had returned to work at all- after my maternity leave ended last May I offered a proposal to my managers to work from home part-time. Viola- they accepted. So, for the past 5 months I have been working on special projects about 20 hours a week (when I could fit them in). YES- the flexibility was a dream. I knew at some point the Aspect folks would need their headcount restored to 1 (instead of the 1/2 I offered) and I knew my baby would no longer be happy sitting on the blanket next to me watching me type. Now that he's crawling (and nearly walking), taking naps in 30 minute spurts and bursting with personality, the time has come for me to say goodbye to the grind. To my office family (especially Spice)- I'll miss you, but promise to visit more often and to KL- thanks for the killer recommendation letter.
SO YAY I am officially a stay-at-home mom. This is what I was born to do. Now without the pressures of work I can concentrate on those things that are most important to me...my family.

Yay! Now you can watch soaps and eat bon bons with the rest of us.
Ha! =)
Working from home is hard isn't it? I thought it would be soo easy. That was before having Miss M. I've finally accepted that I will be VERY selective about projects in the future...which is why I don't have any work at this particular moment. But that's ok.
Good luck with your SAHM endeavors!
I'm sad for me, but happy for you! You've got a much more exciting task at the moment anyway!
No more, "We need to reconfigure our SQL servers based on the principle of the Monte Carlo theory... and then open up an ODBC connection to dig a hole to China."
Now you'll only have Sean to tell "SHUT IT DOWN!!!" and I'm sure with him crawling around everywhere, you'll have ample opportunity.
