2 month checkup- email to Daddy

..................Sticker from the Doctor's office.................

Hi Daddy!

I went to the doctor with mommy this morning. I am fit as a fiddle- whatever that means ( I just heard the doctor and mommy talking). I weigh 11 lbs 8 ozs and am 23 inches long now which is right at the 50%- for my age. My head size is also right at the 50% mark.

I got 3 shots :(- they hurt. I cried really loud but calmed down pretty quickly when mommy told me the shots aren't typically lethal. Bad news is I have to get them at my 4 month AND 6 month check up too. That stinks! Why didn't Meredith or Hank warn me about this? Guess my chubby legs weren't any defense...those needles were big! I'll have to work on making them chunkier before next visit.

Mommy took me to Wal Mart afterwards and got me a new toy to hang from my carseat or that noodle thing you're always laying me under. They're some sort of baby chimes....I think I'm going to like them. Mommy also picked up some Tylenol for me (since the doctor recommended to do so) and some packaging materials. Guess we were all out. Then we went to the post office to mail Madison's package. I hope I get to meet her someday!

I have to go, mommy's calling me for lunch. I'm starving. I've gone nearly 4 hours between feedings again. You two are going to have to start giving me more than 4 ounces or I'm going to blow away!

I love you and wish you were here. Can't wait to see you tonight!

Sean

Dear Sean,

Oh I wanted to warn you. I saw the lady coming at me with those big needles and I thought, "Hey, my legs aren't THAT chunky!" But she poked me anyway. Some people have no manners. I was going to try to figure out how to work that phone thingie and give you a heads-up, but Mommy said we scared enough people with my I-won't-come-out birth story, and she didn't want to scare people any further with shot stories.

If it makes you feel any better, I go get my four month shots in a couple weeks. Maybe I'll bite the nurse this time....

Love,
Hank
